Container Services

Transnet Port Terminals operates container terminals at the Durban Container Terminals (DCT) Pier 1 and Pier 2, at the Ngqura Container Terminal (NCT), at the Port Elizabeth Container Terminal (PECT) and at the Cape Town Container Terminal (CTCT).

The division currently has an annual installed capacity of 5,7 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) across all the terminals. While the Durban and Cape Town container terminals are operating close to capacity, there are plans to increase the capacity within the next five years.
