With over 25 years at Transnet, Mumtaz has extensive experience across multiple disciplines such as Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain. She spent 12 years in Finance, occupying roles such as Reporting Manager, Financial Accountant, and Financial Manager.

Her tenure as a Senior Operations Manager in the ports honed her decision-making skills to ensure operational continuity. Since joining Supply Chain in 2014, she has been the GM Procurement since August 2021.

Mumtaz's role involves market analysis, strategy formulation, effective contract management, and supplier relationship management, elevating procurement to a strategic function.

Mumtaz is an active individual who enjoys gyming, hiking, cycling, and practicing yoga. She values reading and spending quality time with her family.

Yoga has significantly contributed to her stress relief, well-being, and spirituality, embodying the belief that "Your outlook on life changes when body and mind are connected and in a relaxed state."

Mumtaz aims to use supply chain management as a strategic lever to advance economic transformational goals, driving positive change within Transnet Pipelines.
